Direct ordering

The gap between a message and a confirmed order.

Eazeo editorial · 11 Sept 20264 min read

Where restaurant ordering gets messy—and how a clear sequence makes the difference.

“Two biriyanis, please.” It looks like an order. But the kitchen still needs to know which biriyani, whether it is available, where it is going, and whether the customer has accepted the total.

Capture the essentials

A reliable order needs items, quantities, availability, customer details, address, charges, and a clear confirmation. Decide exactly when a message becomes an accepted order.

Make uncertainty visible

If an item is unavailable, confirm a substitute before sending it to the kitchen. If the address is incomplete, resolve it before dispatch. If the delivery promise changes, update the customer.

Give exceptions an owner

Automation is useful, but ambiguous requests need a human path. Name the person who owns that handoff during every shift.

Keep the process short

The goal is not a longer form inside a chat. It is a conversation that gathers the missing details with as little effort as possible.

That is the experience we’re building towards with Eazeo: a simpler conversation for the customer and a clearer operational record for the restaurant.
